From 10 to 12 October 2018 over 600 delegates attended the 2018 ETC. An all time record since the start of the organization of ETC by the Association for European Transport. nearly 300 papers were presented and discussed during the conference, and the technical and social events were well attended.
The key notes during the opening session of the conference were presented by the Irish Minister of transport, mr. Shane Ross, and by professor Peter Balasz of the European Commission.
In October 2017 Nine streams were held over three days with nearly 90 sessions attracting more than 350 delegates. The popular evening social and networking events included ice-breaker drinks, a civic reception at Barcelona's town hall and a sit-down conference dinner in a brewery!
During the conference time was put aside for those wanting to get more active with walking, running and cycling tours of Barcelona. Delegates were also spoiled for choice on which technical visits to attending including visiting the newest part of Barcelona's metro, a port visit and bus interchange visit.
