The Integrated Management Center of the Municipality of Porto, inaugurated in 2015, is a multidisciplinary coordination structure that brings together several municipal and operational entities, including the Municipal Police, the Porto Professional Firefighters Regiment, Municipal Civil Protection, mobility, environment, urban cleaning services, the Public Security Police (PSP), and Porto Public Transport Company (STCP). It operates 24 hours a day, year-round, ensuring the integrated monitoring and management of the city, particularly during emergencies, adverse weather conditions, or major public events. Equipped with an operations room, a planning room, and a crisis room, the CGI relies on advanced technological systems such as a videowall displaying real-time traffic cameras, operational dashboards, meteorological monitoring, and systems for tracking operational resources. Its infrastructure ensures redundant communications and operational continuity. This innovative model strengthens the municipality’s command, control, and decision-making capacity, enabling a faster, more coordinated, and more efficient response to incidents across the city of Porto. The Tram Car Museum preserves the history and development of urban rail-based public transport in the city of Porto, from 1871 to the 1950s. Its creation resulted from the desire of the Porto Public Transport Company to safeguard the memory of the city's public transport. In addition to a representative collection of vehicles, the Museum includes artifacts of equal historical relevance, such as technical equipment, uniforms, travel tickets, and iconographic documentation.
